"You'll Live", written by Rufus Peaty was one of three short plays premiered on Thursday 9th July in the intimate space of the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court Theatre, Sloane Square.
Running just over 80 minutes altogether and presented by a talented and diverse cast of 11 professional actors, these three inspired scripts were deserving winners of the "13-15 Age Group" category of the theatre's Young Playwrights Festival, selected from over 260 entries nationwide.
Opening the evening's performances, Rufus's play is a haunting but humorous story about teen-hood and self-discovery, through the eyes of the main character Abbie and her family, along with her best friend Amira - all from a bargain of a prom dress bought from Vinted.
