PTFA

The Twyford CofE High School Parents Teachers and Friends Association exists to support the school, with 100% of the profits generated from our fundraising activities used to issue charitable grants for education equipment, services and programmes.

All parents, carers and teachers are automatically members of the PTFA and we aim to build a spirit of community, as well as raising money, during students' journey through the school.

We are a registered Charity, number 1027100, and in 2024 adopted a new Constitution (see below). We intend to implement a more hybrid approach to committee meetings, with a mix of in-person and online, so even more members will be able to participate.

Volunteer opportunities

Our fundraising efforts couldn't happen without support from volunteers - from serving at the bar at events to helping with our comms, there are lots of different ways to get involved at different levels of commitment.

How we support our school

This year we are raising funds to continue issuing grants to the school to fund equipment and educational activities. Here are just a few ways that we and you have already been able to make an impact:

• Equipment for a gardening project
• Copies of 'October, October' for the Learning and Inclusion literacy scheme
• Literacy learning headphones for the SEN team
• Subsidising financial disadvantaged students in many areas, including key learning materials and GCSE revision guides
• Mental health workshops

We are also supporting the school's special project to install air-conditioning in the Performance Centre.

Second Hand Uniform

We run second hand uniform sales several times through the school year selling most items of school uniform including PE kit, blazers and jumpers from the shed to the left, inside the school gates. We are grateful for donations of clean, good quality pre-loved uniform items at any time via the school office.
