A Level grades at Twyford CofE High School have remained outstanding despite the national picture of top-end grades being cut.

A very impressive 45% of grades achieved were at A and A* and this enabled the majority of students holding Oxbridge offers or places on highly competitive courses such as Medicine and Veterinary Science to secure their places  despite the UK-wide pattern of grade deflation.  This year, 11 students from the school are going on to Oxford and Cambridge in a wide range of subjects including Engineering and Law.

12 students at the school achieved the extraordinary feat of straight A*s in all 3 A Level subjects.

Outgoing Headteacher Karen Barrie commented: ‘I am very proud that the Sixth Form operation at Twyford has proved to be robust in supporting students onto a very wide range of pathways despite the instabilities of the last 3 years.’ Miss Barrie is moving to a new role at the Twyford Trust from September co-ordinating the Sixth Form across the Trust schools.
