Last Friday our Year 12 Computer Science students headed into London to visit The Innovation Studio at IBM's offices.
IBM had prepared an enlightening and varied afternoon for the students. They were able to see the Quantum Computer up close, hear all about the Mayflower, IBM's AI controlled ship in an immersive room and see Spot the robotic dog perform functions that would be too dangerous for humans to perform. They then participated in a Careers panel with some Young Professionals within IBM who spoke openly and honestly about their route into the business and helped our students understand the tools they'll need when applying for a job and apprenticeships.
